A Short Drive to Amarillo
Some towns are great, except for the fact that it's a half a day's drive into the city. Bushland is a hop, skip and a jump away from Amarillo where you can enjoy all the attractions of the city without being overwhelmed by them like you would if you actually lived there. In terms of location, Bushland is one of the more convenient towns to live in in Texas.
The Big Land
Small Town Living
As of 2000, Bushland had a population of just 130. Now, some of us have had family reunions bigger than that. If you ever wanted to live in a true small town where you can actually learn all of your neighbors' names, Bushland is the place for you. The sparse landscape of Bushland also allows you to fully enjoy the breathtaking Texas view from just about any window in any home in the town.
One of the problems with small town living is bussing your kids to the next town over or somewhere so that they can attend school. If you want to live in the small town but you don't want to go through all of that hassle, Bushland has a middle school, an elementary school and a high school with new buses and great learning programs for kids of all ages and all needs. The small classroom sizes ensure a better education than you're likely to get in a more urban, densely populated environment.
The fact that there aren't a lot of big attractions in Bushland is really the biggest attraction of all. Bushland is for Texans by birth or by choice who enjoy a little peace and quiet and who appreciate their privacy as much as they do convenience
